One night while we were worshiping the gods of liquor :
Me : "I'd wish I could finaly go and visit some folks in NYC this year."
Crowd : "LA is nicer, forget
the NYC !"
Me : "Burp....why don't we do both ? And do a coast to coast ride ?"
Crowd : "That
would be nice !"
Me : "Yeah, and we could...we could like buy a car and sell it at the end of the trip... and
drive the Route 66 and..."
Crowd : "What car?"
Me : "A groovy battered V8 and do it in style
!"
Crowd : "When do we go ?"
Two weeks later...
Me : "All set? I checked some ads on web & I don't think we could afford a Mustang...We'll
improvise."
Crowd : "We spent all our money on vacation in Greece..."
Me : "Well, I've got to
go now - who knows if I'll want to do it next year?"
Crowd : "What, alone?"
Me : "OK"
